Our Home’s History

The Historic Corn House

We are proud to house our family-owned and operated restaurant in the Historic Corn House. It has a rich history in Downtown Franklin beginning with a confederate soldier with the last name of Atwood. He built the original structure, which burned down and was rebuilt in the Victorian, Queen Anne style in 1892. The house is named for the Corn Family who purchased the home in 1920 and lived there for more than 60 years. Charlie H. Corn was the co-owner of Lillie Mills, the lucrative Franklin flour mill, a position that made him one of the richest men in town. He was well-loved and known to invite friends over for drinks during prohibition.

Food and entertainment run deep in the history of the Corn House!
